Marking a listing as Inactive

Take a listing off the market in the Listing Portal without marking it Sold. Its ads are paused and taken out of any bundles.

Written by Stephen Whiting

When a listing comes off the market without selling, you can mark it Inactive from the Listing Portal. StreetText pauses the listing's ads and takes them out of any ad bundles, so you stop paying for ads on a home that isn't for sale.

How to mark a listing Inactive

  1. Go to Listings and open the listing.

  2. Click Mark as Inactive.

  3. Review the confirmation. It lists the running ads that will be paused.

  4. Click to confirm. The listing now shows as Inactive and appears under the Inactive filter.

Click Cancel on the confirmation and nothing changes.

What happens to the ads

  • Running ads for the listing are paused, in StreetText and in Facebook Ads Manager.

  • If one of its ads was in a bundle, it is removed from the bundle and the bundle carries on with its other ads. A bundle left with no ads is turned off.

  • Ads are matched by the listing's address tag. If the address tag is very short, StreetText leaves the ads alone and tells you, so it never pauses ads for other listings by mistake.

  • If some ads couldn't be paused in time, the listing's Ads section shows a Pause remaining ads button. Click it to try again.

Undo

Click Undo, mark as active on an Inactive listing to set it back to Active. This changes the status only. Your ads stay paused, so turn back on the ones you want from the Ads page.

Sold listings

If the home sold, use Mark as Sold instead. That works the same as before.
