Sending your leads to BoldTrail with their tags

How to use the Send leads to BoldTrail format in Email Notifications so your StreetText contacts reach BoldTrail (formerly kvCORE) with their tags intact.

Written by Stephen Whiting

If BoldTrail (formerly kvCORE) is your CRM, you can now send your StreetText contacts to it by email with their tags intact. Choose the new Send leads to BoldTrail option and StreetText formats each outgoing email the way BoldTrail's importer expects, so your tags arrive as hashtags instead of being dropped.

Who this is for

Agents and teams who use BoldTrail or kvCORE and want their StreetText leads, and the tags attached to them, to land in BoldTrail automatically.

Why it matters

BoldTrail only reads tags when they arrive as hashtags on a Hashtags: line in the body of the email. The other lead sync formats send a plain Tags: line, which BoldTrail ignores, so tags were quietly lost on import. The BoldTrail format fixes that.

How to turn it on

  1. Go to your account Settings.

  2. Open Email Notifications, the section called Sync Contacts by Email.

  3. Add or edit the rule you want to use, and set the email address BoldTrail receives leads at.

  4. In the Then dropdown, choose Send leads to BoldTrail.

  5. Save the rule.

From that point on, every contact the rule matches is sent to BoldTrail in the BoldTrail format.

How your tags arrive

Tags are added to the body of the email on a single line, each one prefixed with a hash and separated by a comma:

Hashtags: #Hot_Buyer,#Open_House

A few things worth knowing about how tags are converted:

  • Tags keep the capitalisation you gave them, so Hot Buyer stays recognisable rather than becoming #hotbuyer.

  • Spaces and punctuation inside a tag become a single underscore, so the whole tag stays one valid hashtag. Hot Buyer is sent as #Hot_Buyer.

  • Tags are separated by a comma with no space after it. That is what BoldTrail's importer expects: a space after the comma makes it stop reading, and only the first tag comes through.

  • If a contact has no tags, no Hashtags: line is included and the contact still syncs normally.

What else comes through

The rest of the lead details, name, email, phone, address and location, are sent the same way as the Follow Up Boss and Lofty formats, so BoldTrail picks them up with its standard import.

Good to know

  • Changing the format only affects the rule you change. Any other Email Notification rules you have, on Follow Up Boss, Lofty or Chime, Top Producer, Lead Router, Industry Standard or the plain notification format, keep working exactly as before.

  • You can switch a rule back to another format at any time.

  • If tags are not appearing in BoldTrail, check that the rule is set to Send leads to BoldTrail and that the destination address is the lead import address from your BoldTrail account.
