Not every text in a conversation is typed by you. Some are sent by your automated follow-up, some are drafted or sent by AI, and some were lined up in advance to go out later. Each outgoing message in a conversation now carries a small label showing where it came from, so you can read a thread and know immediately what happened without having to guess.
Where to find it
Open Conversations from the left menu and select any contact. The labels appear on the messages in the thread itself. You do not need to turn anything on.
What each label means
AI â the message was written by AI. This covers both messages AI sent on its own and drafts you reviewed and approved before they went out.
Scheduled â the message was queued in advance rather than sent the moment it was written. You will see this on messages that were part of a broadcast, and on messages that are still waiting to go out.
Scheduled (FUB) â the message was scheduled from Follow Up Boss.
Automation (lightning bolt) â the message was sent by one of your automated follow-up sequences.
Manual â the message was typed and sent by a person in your account.
Messages your contact sends to you carry no label. Only outgoing messages are marked, because the question the labels answer is "who on my side sent this?"
Why it is useful
Before you reply, you know what was already said on your behalf. If AI answered a question overnight, you can see that and pick up the thread instead of repeating it.
You can tell a real send from one that is still pending. A message marked Scheduled that sits at the end of a thread has not reached the contact yet.
Troubleshooting gets faster. If a contact reacts to a message you do not remember sending, the label tells you whether it came from an automation, a broadcast, or AI.
Common questions
Do my contacts see these labels?
No. They are only visible to you inside your account. Your contact receives an ordinary text message.
Can I turn the labels off?
There is no setting for them. They are part of how the conversation thread is displayed.
A message shows Scheduled but my contact has not received it. Is something wrong?
Most likely not. Scheduled messages go out at their planned time, and messages that are part of a larger broadcast are spread out rather than sent all at once. If the planned time has clearly passed and the message still has not been delivered, get in touch with us and we will take a look.
