A Broadcast lets you send one text message to many of your contacts at once. Each contact can receive a naturally personalized version of your message, and the sends are spread out over a short window so they go out smoothly rather than all at the same moment. StreetText automatically checks who is allowed to be texted and only sends to eligible contacts.
Before you start
Broadcasts are available when:
Texting is enabled on your account.
Your account is registered to send text messages (A2P).
Your plan includes Mass Texting.
If you don't see the Broadcast option, one of the above is usually the reason — reach out to support using the blue chat box in your dashboard.
Start a Broadcast
Go to your Leads page and select the contacts you want to reach.
Choose Broadcast.
Write your message. Use the insert chips —
{first_name},{last_name},{city}— to personalize each text with the contact's own details.Review the eligibility summary (see below), then schedule when the Broadcast should start.
See who will actually receive it
Before anything sends, StreetText shows you exactly how many of your selected contacts will receive the text — and why the rest won't. Contacts are skipped (and never texted) when they:
Haven't given valid consent to be texted,
Have a landline (non-mobile) number,
Are on your Do-Not-Contact list, or
Have no mobile number on file.
The eligible count plus each skip reason always adds up to the number you selected — for example, "7 of 20 will receive · Skipped: 4 no mobile · 9 need consent." The count updates live as you change your selection.
Personalize each message with AI (optional)
Turn on Personalize each with AI to have every contact receive a naturally reworded version of your message. Use Preview personalization to see sample variations before you commit. AI only rewords your message — it never changes your prices, links, or the opt-out line.
You can also add a "Reply STOP to opt out" line, which is included on every message even after personalization.
Timing and daily limits
Spread out: your messages drip out over a short window (about 10 minutes) instead of all at once.
Texting hours: messages are only delivered between 8am and 9pm in the recipient's local time.
Daily limit: there's a cap on how many contacts you can reach per day. If you select more than your remaining allowance, you'll be warned up front so you can adjust before sending.
Watch your results
Once a Broadcast is running, open it to see live progress: how many messages were sent, delivered, failed, replied, and opted out — along with the exact personalized message each contact received.
Built-in safety
If a contact opts out or becomes ineligible between scheduling and their send moment, their message is skipped and recorded with a reason.
If opt-outs spike early in a Broadcast, the remaining sends pause and you're warned before continuing.
You can cancel the remaining sends of an in-progress Broadcast at any time.
