Leaving Your Lead with "Homework"

In our Facebook Insider Group, the question of what and when to send to address submission get asked a lot. Some agents send entire home valuation to address submissions.

While it requires a lot of work on your side, it also doesn't really give leads a reason to contact you back. They've gotten everything they needed from you and unless they want to sell right away, you are very likely not to hear back from them for a long while.

Dave Ehlke, one of our successful clients, never leaves the lead without "homework". Dave will always give his leads a reason to contact him back. So does Donna Swanzy, a realtor, who on average lists 5 houses a month through StreetText.

This is exactly what she does:

"This is what I do the day following the submission: I send a Handwritten Card with a business card included (I ordered the 'Hello' cards from Amazon). The card just has HELLO printed on the front and blank inside.

I hand-write the name and address, as well as the inside of the card.  Inside it says…”If you’d like to know the value of your home, I’m happy to help!”  Then I put a sticker label inside with the link to the landing page they previously visited as below:

This is all I do for Address Only, but I do keep a spreadsheet of them so I can keep track of how often people go back and finish the submission.  I have only been doing for 2 months this way, but I have a lot that actually go back to the site or just call me to schedule a visit".
